KILLZONE RECORDS Partners With MINDAWN For Digital Sales

July 20, 2007

KillZone Records has announced that it has chosen to work with Mindawn as its front-end source for digital sales. This new relationship represents months of searching to find the right source for KillZone Records to expand into digital sales and downloads in a way that is unique to the needs of the label.

According to a press release, "what makes Mindawn so unique is what they offer to the customer. Many front-end sources, outlets and distributors who have cornered this very fast growing aspect of music distribution and sales, attempt to curb illegal downloading by utilising restrictive practises with what customers can do with the downloads they bought, or simply by minimizing how much of a song you can listen to before having to make the decision to purchase.

"As a customer of KillZone Records, you will be able to listen to enitre songs you select before making the decision to purchase. Also once paid for as a customer you are not restricted with what you do with the purchase you have made.

"Another amazing feature that Mindawn offers is that it works on all platforms Windows, Mac OSX and Linux. It also allows customers to download music files that are not restricted by compression that affects sound quality. Mindawn even has another feature: the ability to download music files that are full CD sound quality. Mindawn also uses a system that allows you to download better sound quality on music files while being able to offer better file compression.

"This is a very unique service that will allow KillZone Records to create not just downloadable versions of albums already available on CD but exclusively digital releases that will cater to the growing demands of customers who are seeking serious, legitimate alternatives to illegal downloads and who have grown frustrated with limits imposed by the major service providers."

KillZone Records will launch its digital downloads on August 25 with its first "virtual" release by THE RAYGUN GIRLS, a four-track EP called "Look At Me", on Mindawn.
